Pot

(Disclaimer: This is not about marijuana)

This weekend I finished my homework early! So to celebrate I thought I would treat myself and go buy a new dress. I went to Target because I really like that store and I can usually find something that I like. This time however, that was not the case. So instead of buying a dress I bought a new pot. It's so shiny and new looking. In retrospect, I am happier with the pot than a dress because, well, I don't really need a dress and our apartment was in dire need of a pot. The only reasonable sized one we had had black sometime permanently burned onto it. The last time I made mac and cheese it was sprinkled with little black dots. I haven't died from eating them so I don't think that it is a bog deal; it's just gross.

a little catch up

so there have been many small things that i have wanted to blog about but i never did get around to it (school has been pretty all consuming okay) so this is me catching up.

i love brown eggs. when i am older and have my own family and house i want to have a few chickens in a coop and collect their eggs. they are so much more awesome than white eggs.


my roommate is a strange one. this is how she calls cats, such as the one that showed up at our intramural soccer team. oh our intramural soccer team, that's another post all to itself.


sometimes people say i'm quirky. probably becasue i do things like this.

i dont like eating cold applesauce so i warm it up by putting a sauce bowl in a bigger bowl of hot water to get the applesauce to room temperature.

i went on a hike with my bestie eliza, now hermana probst, up provo canyon before she entered the mtc. it was absolute beautiful.


we got some practice harvesting the field.



and found the tree of life.
i'd say it was a successful day.

i made stuffed zucchini for dindin. me and kj enjoyed it immensely although it was no where near as good as nonna's.


alexis gave kj surgery on her finger which she slammed in a car door. we watched a video on youtube about how to preform such a surgery. psh who needs a phd when there's youtube ta teach ya all ya need ter know.


and then we dressed up for that pagan holiday.

the quiche

i made this the other morning. i'd like to say that it turned out pretty well and if we're being honest that doesnt always happen when im in the kicthen.

we are not alcoholics

we made beerbread (that had been expired for a year) we however did not use beer but instead ginger-ale.

but she does come up with some good ideas.

we are HP fans

this could not be a more true statement. i can remember in high school our lunch time conversations were mostly about the books, the movies, how i was going to marry harry or ron depending on the day. so we continued with our traditions by making butterbeer cupcakes i found the recipe on pinterest (you should check that site out, its sweet)

It was quite the adventure, first time i made cupcakes from scratch and pretty sure the first time justina has baked anything. haha. they turned out delicious, it was probably or multiple trips to the grocery store becasue i refused to make a list and consequently forgot various items.
